The New York Giants have finally been dealt a blow with their 1-4 start, but the team has managed to stay in the AFC race, with their new-look offense leading the way.
New York’s quarterback Eli Manning is currently in a slump, but he is playing at a high level.
He has thrown for 4,634 yards and 31 touchdowns on just 39 interceptions and ranks second in the NFL in passer rating (102.4) despite the team’s record-setting offense.
It will be interesting to see if Manning can continue to play at such a high standard this season, as the Giants have struggled to score points in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Buffalo is looking to build on their disappointing start to the season with a win over the San Francisco 49ers, as quarterback Tyrod Taylor looks to bounce back after a disappointing debut to the team last season.
Taylor has been sacked 11 times on the season, with five of those coming on scrambles.
The Bills are still one of the better teams in the league at limiting the run, but Taylor is clearly a much improved player, as he ranks third in the game in yards per carry with 4.4.
Buffalo also faces the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, who have been struggling mightily in the past two weeks, and have lost their last two games to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.
The Falcons are coming off of their bye week, so the team could be in good shape heading into Sunday’s game.
As for Washington, quarterback Kirk Cousins has been struggling, and the team will need to take a big step forward this week against the New Orleans Saints.
The Redskins are currently 2-4 on the year and have been shut out for two straight games.
Cousins is also currently tied for the league lead with 19 interceptions, as well as the team is averaging just 5.5 yards per play.
Washington needs to get a big performance from quarterback Kirk MacCary on Sunday if it wants to be a serious contender for a playoff spot.
Washington will also face the Los Angeles Chargers in a game that will determine who will make the playoffs.
The Chargers are currently tied with the New England Patriots for the fourth-best record in the NFC West, and they have a bye this week.
The matchup could be a tough one for the Chargers, who are currently sitting in fifth place in the division.
The NFC West is a pretty tough division right now, and it could come down to Washington vs. San Francisco, San Francisco vs. Oakland, and San Francisco versus the Los Angels.
The Eagles and Saints have a strong shot at making the playoffs, but it is still very much up in the air.
