It’s been a rough week for feminism.
After the release of a new book by the feminist writer Amanda Hess, the backlash against women’s media has only intensified.
A new video called “The Real Feminist” was released on Monday, depicting the experience of a young woman in India who’s forced to endure a sexual assault after being raped by a stranger on a train.
“I am tired of seeing so many women in this world being attacked and mistreated and beaten and harassed,” Hess told the audience in a video posted on YouTube.
“The real feminist is a person who looks out for others, who believes in the rights of everyone to live without fear.”
I am sad that you are feeling threatened, she added.
But I am also excited to know that you will be protected from these things.
The real feminist wants to see more women in leadership positions.
She also wrote a book, The Real Feminist, which has been praised by many for its feminist focus on women’s rights, and the video has received over 2 million views.
On Wednesday, Hess posted an apology on Twitter, which she said she was “deeply sorry for my words and actions.”
She added that she was only speaking out against what she believed was the “unjust” treatment of women.
I was wrong to be a part of this video, she wrote, and I regret the hurt and anger that it caused.
“My goal was to help empower women to see that their voices matter,” she said in a follow-up tweet.
“I am very sorry for the hurt, anger and distress caused.
I want to assure you that I will do my best to learn from my mistake.”
Amanda Hess apologized for her video in response to the sexual assault incident.
Hess was a popular commentator and writer who co-hosted The View, a talk show that has been canceled by the Trump administration.
The program was scheduled to air on the first Thursday of the month, but was cancelled on Monday because of the uproar over the video.
The program, which was to have featured a discussion about women’s issues, was to focus on a group of women who had been victims of sexual assault.
A spokesperson for the program told the Washington Post that they would continue to air the show.
But a petition to cancel the program was created on Change.org, which calls on the White House to immediately cancel the show, which had received more than 1.3 million signatures.
After the video came out, Hess said she received hundreds of death threats and was called a “nasty woman” on social media.
This is not the first time Hess has received threats on social networks, the New York Daily News reported.
Hess was recently accused of “toxic masculinity” for saying that men were “inherently predatory” in the wake of the Aurora, Colorado massacre.
She was subsequently accused of racism for comparing the Black Lives Matter movement to a Ku Klux Klan.
It is not clear whether the backlash to the video is related to the backlash Hess faced, as the video does not include explicit depictions of violence.
In an interview with the New Yorker magazine published in January, Hess told that she was surprised by the backlash.
At one point, she said, a friend of hers was threatening to call her a “fucking cunt” and to burn her alive.
If she had known this would happen, she told the magazine, she would have stayed quiet.
When I saw the video, I thought, oh my God, she is a woman who really has to take a lot of responsibility.
It is not what I expected.
Hess added that it is not surprising that she received threats.
“I had no idea there was a backlash,” she told The New Yorker.
There are several women who have shared Hess’ post, including the journalist Natasha Stoynoff, who has called her a hypocrite for being against the video because she doesn’t think it’s appropriate to talk about sexual assault on the show (though she did comment on it in a later interview with Salon).
The author and feminist activist Germaine Greer also called for Hess to apologize.
Her post also sparked a response from Twitter user Kaitlyn (@Kaitnay_Hess) who called Hess’ comment a “shocking act of hypocrisy” and said that “every woman in the world is a feminist, and you are being a dick to the most powerful woman on the planet.”
