Surfer magazine has no affiliation with Nudes Beach, which the publisher says is a parody of a magazine.
The magazine says it has been making fun of nude beach photos for a year and a half and is calling the publication a parody “of our core values”.
The magazine also says it will be taking legal action to get the magazine removed.
Nudes beach, which is now defunct, has been a popular tourist destination in Australia for years.
In a statement, Surfer says it “has no affiliation” with Nudes Beach.
“We have taken down the offending content from the pages of the site,” it said.
“Nudes beach has no association with us or our sponsors.
It was created for our own amusement and we have no intention of using it for any commercial purposes.”
Nudess Beach is now a popular destination in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, and has also been accused of spreading “unacceptable” views about sexuality in the media.
