When I was a kid, my parents always had a collection of hot rods they had to have.
We had a few cars, but the big ones were the Dodge Charger and the Mustang.
The Charger was our favorite car.
And the Mustang was the most fun.
When we moved from Georgia to Florida, I moved in with my uncle.
I had the Dodge Challenger, the Charger, the Mustang, the Cobra.
And I’d get them, and they’d get me.
So it’s kind of like, you know, I was getting hot rods.
I was just getting the best out of them.
And then I went to work for Chrysler and got the Chargers and the Mustangs.
It was the coolest job I ever had.
I got to do a lot of cool things.
But I was always looking for the coolest things, too.
And now I have an idea: How can I put all those cool cars together into a hot rod magazine.
MTV: What is a hot rodder?
A hot roeder is a vehicle that has been built for a specific purpose.
It has to be able to handle high-speed acceleration, it has to have a certain amount of performance, it needs to have some kind of safety feature, and it has a certain type of powertrain.
The word hot rod is a combination of two words: fast.
And when you hear the word hot, you think of fast cars.
But it’s a bit more than that.
It’s also an acronym, or acronym with an “a” that stands for air, and a “r” for speed.
So a hotrod is a motor vehicle that’s fast enough to accelerate quickly, and has the right combination of those three features.
In the automotive industry, hot rods are typically used for high-performance cars like the Ferrari F12berlinetta, the Lamborghini Aventador, and the Lambo Stradale.
But the term hot rod isn’t limited to those types of vehicles.
As a new-to-the-scene brand, Hot Rod Magazine has been creating cool cars and motorcycles for over a decade.
In this exclusive interview, we speak with the people behind Hot Rod.
Vinnie Colavito: So, what’s your background?
A: I’ve been in the automotive world for over 20 years.
I started working in the auto business in 1998.
I moved to Detroit, then I started in automotive engineering, and I started with BMW in Germany.
We built a lot cars and we worked with Rolls-Royce.
And we were also doing a lot with Mercedes-Benz, but that’s where I got my first idea of doing a hot-rodder magazine.
I remember that one time when we had a bunch of cars, I wanted to do one.
I think we were about 15, and we were building one at that time, and there was this big Dodge Chargers in the garage.
And so I went in there, and got my buddy and said, “What do you think?”
And he was like, “Oh, this is great, this one looks great.”
And then we started building.
When did you start building your Hot Rod?
V: We started in 1998, but it really took off in 1999, 2000.
We started building Hot Rods in the summer of 2000.
Vinnie Colapitito: Did you have a plan before you started?
A, yeah, we had planned out a lot for how to build the magazine.
We just kind of wanted to create a magazine that was fun, that was accessible, and that would be a good place to get ideas from.
So that’s why we were always looking to build it ourselves.
You guys were always building.
V: You know, we’ve been building for a long time, but we started in the fall of 1999, and then we kind of just stopped in October of 2000 because we started getting a lot more orders for the magazines.
Why didn’t you start with the car?
The car was the biggest thing.
The hot rods are the fastest cars.
You need to be fast to get the maximum speed, and you need to have the best performance, and your car needs to be really strong to have that kind of acceleration.
And you need a really good suspension to be safe.
I started in 2002, but in 2003 we got our first order, and so then we got more orders.
So in 2006, we started to get orders for more magazines.
And it’s really taken off in the last two years.
V: So what was your initial idea?
Well, I thought, oh, I’ll just go for a hot car.
But when I first started, I never thought about the supercars.
I thought of the sports cars.
