By STEVE BROWNSTEINAssociated PressAUSTIN (AP) A gardening magazine has become an important part of Texas’ public life, helping citizens make the best choices for their gardens.
Gardening magazines like these helped give birth to a whole cottage industry, and now the magazine industry is thriving again.
A group of about 50 local growers started a group called Garden Club Texas, which aims to bring back the magazine as an economic engine for the area.
It’s a big move for the group that includes Texas’ top crop-sitter and author, Mike Darnell, who started Garden Club as a way to promote the industry.
It’s a small, small business.
The group is small.
We have no staff.
They don’t necessarily have to be in your local area. “
Gardener magazines are really hard to come by.
They don’t necessarily have to be in your local area.
I’m glad they’re still there.
We are not just another magazine, but something that you read.
And that’s where we’re going.”
The magazine industry has a lot of growth potential, said Paul Wiles, president of the Texas Growers Association, which is a trade group for the industry and is part of the coalition that’s pushing the magazine movement back.
We’re a small community, and it’s something that the public wants to get involved in, said Wiles.
“The people that are driving the growth are not only farmers but also people in the landscaping business,” he said.
There’s also a big need for gardens that people can buy gardening magazines for.
A growing number of people are finding that they like gardening more than they ever have, Wiles said.
And there’s also demand for gardening magazines.
“We’re going to see more people reading gardening magazines in Texas, in fact, it’s going to be a real trend in the future,” Wiles added.
A growing number companies are embracing the magazine format.
The Associated Press reported that more than 20 grocery stores have been using gardening magazines to promote their produce.
The magazine format can also help farmers save on supplies and improve their marketing tactics.
They can make better and more effective decisions by looking at more than one page, instead of just one column of information, said Gary Burdett, owner of the Burdetts Farm Supply Co. in Burdell, Texas.
A recent survey by the National Seed Council showed that people who own a gardening magazine are more likely to buy a product that they know the company has researched and tested.
And the more they know about a product, the more likely they are to buy it, the survey showed.
That’s why it’s important to get your gardening magazine subscriptions in early, said Burditt, because it’s easier to do research and test products after you’ve already bought a few.
“A lot of times when people think about buying a gardening product, they’re buying one that is in stock, and you can see a few weeks out,” he added.
The Associated Press spoke with dozens of farmers and gardeners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
They all wanted to be identified by their real name.
All but two of them said they don’t subscribe to gardening magazines, and they don`t know why.
Some of the magazines in question include Texas Grow, a newsletter from the Associated Press, the Texas Agriculture Department and the Texas Department of Agriculture.
It offers gardening tips, photos, gardening techniques and tips for the home garden.
It was one of the newsletters featured in the Associated Statesman magazine, which features the best gardening content.
The AP used it as a template for this article.
The AP didn’t have an interview request with any of the growers, but it did ask about their experience with gardening magazines and the value of buying gardening magazines online.
A couple of the people interviewed said they’ve found it useful to subscribe to online gardening magazines that offer advice and videos, as well as information on how to use seeds and other plants.
But others said they`ve turned away from them.
They said they wanted to get more gardening tips from experts, and didn`t want to spend money on magazines they weren`t sure were accurate.
“I think I was kind of scared,” said David Mardis, who grew up in Bakersfield and now lives in Texas.
“They`re not just looking at what they`re selling.
They`re looking at your finances.
I just didn`tt know what to expect.
I don`ve had that problem before.
I think it`s a big mistake to go online.”
Mardis said he also doesn`t read gardening magazines because he`s not interested in them.
He said he`ll have to start a new hobby and read gardening for pleasure.
“People don`tt buy gardening articles because they`d like to read gardening tips or they`ll read the gardening magazines,” he explained.
“I think that’s not the point
